Open-source software in ZiroTV
Updated
ZiroTV is built with open-source software, and we thank the people who write it.
1. What ZiroTV is built with
- React Native and Expo: MIT
- React: MIT
- AndroidX Media3 (ExoPlayer): Apache License 2.0
- libVLC and VLCKit: GNU LGPL 2.1 or later
- FFmpeg: GNU LGPL 2.1 or later
- Electron and Chromium, in the desktop app: MIT and BSD-style licences
- The typefaces Onest, Montserrat, Archivo and Readex Pro: SIL Open Font License 1.1
And many smaller libraries under the MIT, BSD, Apache 2.0 and ISC licences.
2. Source code of the LGPL libraries
libVLC, VLCKit and FFmpeg are used under the GNU Lesser General Public License. You may replace them in the app with your own build of these libraries.
On request we send you the complete corresponding source code of these libraries, including our changes, for no charge beyond our cost of providing it. Email support@zirotv.com and name the app and its version. This offer is open to anyone who has the app, and is valid for at least three years after the last release that carried the library.
Our terms say so too: nothing in them limits what these licences allow you to do with these libraries. Their texts are in section 3.
3. Licence texts
